Animal Identification

Eartrace Handheld Reader RH7

Smartrac’s Eartrace® Handheld Reader RH7 offers a powerful solution for livestock identification

It is designed to read RFID transponders from larger distances, for example LF ear tag transponders of farm animals such as cattle, sheep, goats or pigs. Another use case are animals to which a certain distance needs to be maintained, for examples in zoos and wildlife.

Despite its robust design the handling is easy. The reading performance is remarkable due to the integrated antenna and sophisticated circuitry and data analysis.

The Reader RH7 is compliant to animal ISO standards 11784, 11785 and 14223 and can also read transponders using FDX-A and EM4102 read-only protocols.

The 4-line OLED display allows simple and convenient configuration, operation and display of transponder data. The user interface offers 7 different languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German and Polish).

A USB cable (mini connector) is used for charging the integrated battery as well as for transferring ID data to a computer.
